Bacon’s Porky Beans
I made these beans for the first time using a pinch of this & pinch of that on the seasons. So you will have to do the same (do to your families taste)
2 small bags of Pinto Beans
2 or 3 whole japs., slices in half
Small can Whole peeled tomatoes
1 cup Tomato Juice
1 cup chicken broth
2 med onions, peeled & cut into quarters
2 cups sugar
1 can beer (any kind you have on hand)
Summer Sausage, sausage links & Jimmy Deans Sausage (use however much meat you want)
Mrs. Dash: Tomato & Basil, Garlic & Herb, Original
Chili Power, season salt, 2 bay leaves, coriander (any other spices you want to use)
Mix all of the above (do not drain the tomatoes, or deseed the japs.) in a crock pot fill to the top with water. Cook over night or all day.
These are spicy, so be sure to spice (season) to what your family likes. They taste between a cross of Ranch beans & BBQ Beans. Be sure to take bay leaves out before serving.
Very good. Enjoy — Pennie
